Overview information
The Pestline CONTRO 45 insect killer is a powerful and effective solution for controlling large numbers of flying insects in commercial and industrial areas. With its robust design and high power, it uses a special UV-A lamp to attract insects, then kills them quickly and hygienically via a high voltage grid. The Pestline CONTRO 45 is ideal for food factories, warehouses, large supermarkets, processing areas, and other locations with strict insect control requirements.
The machine is made of durable materials, easy to install (wall or ceiling mounted) and maintain. The removable dead insect tray makes cleaning simple. The Pestline CONTRO 45 is a reliable choice for maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic working environment.
User guide
1. Selecting the Installation Location:
Identify areas with a high density of flying insects.
Install the device at an appropriate height, away from children and pets.
For best results, place it in areas where insects frequently appear or near entrances where outside light attracts them.
Ensure there is a stable power source near the installation location.
2. Installing the Device:
Wall Mounting: Use the included accessories to securely mount the device on a wall. Ensure the wall can support the weight.
Ceiling Mounting: Use appropriate chains or cables to hang the device from the ceiling at a safe height.
Refer to the detailed installation instructions included with the product.
3. Connecting to Power:
Check if the power supply voltage (220V - 240V) is compatible with the device.
Plug the device into an electrical outlet. The UV-A light will turn on and the electric grid will be activated.
4. Automatic Operation:
Once connected to power, the device will operate continuously.
Use the power switch to turn off the device when not in use or during maintenance.
5. Cleaning the Insect Tray:
Turn off the power before performing any cleaning.
Regularly check and remove the insect tray located at the bottom of the device.
Dispose of dead insects and clean the tray with a dry or damp cloth if necessary.
Reinsert the tray into its correct position.
6. Maintenance:
Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the surface of the device with a soft dry cloth to remove dust.
UV-A Lamp Check: The UV-A lamp has a limited lifespan. If insect attraction efficiency decreases, consider replacing the bulb (refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for the correct type and replacement method).
Electric Grid Check: Ensure the electric grid is not bent or damaged.

Frequently asked questions
The machine uses three UV-A bulbs with a total power of 45W to attract flying insects. When insects are attracted by the UV light, they will fly into the machine and be instantly killed by the high-voltage grid. The dead insects will fall into a removable tray for cleaning.
The device has an effective coverage area of up to 120 square meters.
Due to the use of high voltage power grid, special attention must be paid when installing and using the machine. The machine must be placed in a high place, out of reach of children and pets to avoid the risk of electric shock. The power must be turned off before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
Bug zappers that use UV lights and high-voltage grids are usually quite quiet, making no noticeable noise other than a small "click" sound as the insects are killed by the grid. However, this sound is usually very small and not annoying.
Maintenance includes:
- Cleaning the insect tray: Periodically remove and discard dead insects, then clean the tray.
- Cleaning the surface of the machine: Wipe the outside surface of the machine with a dry cloth to remove dust.
- Checking the UV-A lamp: Monitor the performance of the UV-A lamp and replace the bulb as recommended by the manufacturer (usually about 9-12 months or according to certain hours of use) to ensure effective insect attraction.
- Checking the power grid: Ensure the power grid is not damaged or clogged with dead insects (clean when necessary after turning off the power).
